What makes the Simple Pad different from the Full Pad?

The Simple Pad is our most popular pad. It's the exact same 36 by 48 by 4 inch pad as the Full Pad, minus the sewn-on pocket flap. Same world-renowned foam, same fabrics, no added bells or whistles (and 1 Pound lighter since it does not have the pocket flap fabric!)
How does the Simple Pad close?

Four metal buckle closures along the outside of the pad, three along the 36-inch side and one on the bottom. Closed, it measures about 36 by 24 by 8.5 inches, and our Slider pad fits inside for extra padding in transit.
What is the carry system like?

Beefy, well-balanced shoulder straps with a thick 2-inch hip belt, plus three grab handles for dragging it between problems without packing up provide multiple comfortable carry options. For even greater comfort It's also compatible with our Deluxe Hip Belt for hauling big loads on long approaches.
Can I stack other pads onto it?

Yes. Add our Load Flap to piggyback additional pads securely onto the Simple Pad for the approach.
What is the Simple Pad made of?

A 1050-denier ballistic nylon shell, a colorful 1000-denier recycled Nylon landing zone, and a recyclable three-layer closed and open cell foam sandwich with a hybrid hinge. Each one is sewn in the USA in your choice of background and accent colors, one of a kind from recycled cutting scraps.
